Although some of us like to eat American fast food, watch Japanese cartoons, and buy clothes of European fashions, we all know that the country we should love best is the one we call our own—China.
And why not!
We have one of the oldest civilizations in the world. Our Chinese ancestors (祖先) invented the printing press and made the first paper as well. Many valuable things come from China, including rice, tea, bamboo and jade. China has an incredible history and a rich culture rooted in tradition. The beautiful Chinese writing system is itself a tribute (证明) to the magnificence of Chinese civilization. Many foreigners have become fascinated with Chinese traditional culture and numbers of them travel to China to experience the old wonders of China, including the Great Wall, the Xi\'an Terracotta Soldiers (兵马俑), as well as other cultural treasures.
Modern China is also worthy of our pride.
Of course, we are not only proud of our country for its history, modern China is also worthy of our pride. In today\'s China we have 55 different minorities (少数民族) spanning across 31 provinces. We have many different languages, foods and customs, but we can all call ourselves Chinese people. Our country is rapidly joining the world\'s major superpowers as a competitor (竞争者) in the international market.
We love our country!
Not least of all, we Chinese people possess a tremendous spirit. We are optimistic (乐观的) and cheerful people, very welcoming and friendly to outsiders. We love our country and we love life. Our country, filled with such remarkable people, is certainly worthy to be loved.
we are moved, i mean my roommates and me.....
people tend to say that youth close their ears when they hear such words and they put down the books when they read such words.....
yes, maybe we do that when we are young.
but as we grow up, we learn more and love our country very much.
you see, i was born in 80\' when china began to innovate. i am growing up with china\'s innovation, i can see the changing in china.
yes, i can see the problem too. so when i realized i should do sth to change the situation, i throw myself into study, and work....i know i am a simple boy, what i can do is very little to the country. but you can see, i am trying and my classmates are trying too, for the sake of ourselves , for the sake of our family, also for the sake of our country.........
